Arrive and leave as a couple
Whenever you are going to meet your date, make sure you guys show up together. When you leave you should also do so on one accord. I will look tacky if one leaves earlier than the other.

Shown up in a timely Manner
Its not fashionable to show up tardy to occasions because this will cause the night to get underway, and you may make people who have already began to feel uncomfortable  walking in late. This will also make it difficult for you to fit in. Give notice if you know that you will not be on time due to traffic or getting off of work late.

 
Be polite
The swinging way of life is already filled with people who have insecurities and uncertainties. Being nice can help make things more comfortable. Treat people in the way you want to be treated; sensitively, thoughtfully, understandingly.

 
Be friendly
Be friendly with every one. It doesn’t matter if you already know that things will not go any further than the party. You may find you have other things in common or they might be the link to someone that you could be interested in.

 
Reply to all invitations
Always respond to invitations, even if you don’t plan to attend. It is very irritating for your host because they need to have a head count to be properly prepared. Reply by either by a phone call or a email, thanking them for an invite.

 
Don’t show up empty handed.
Phone the people that are holding the event and ask them if there’s any thing you can bring Even if you show up with flowers it is better than nothing.

Arrive equipped
If you know how the party is going to go, take all of the things you need. Condoms, robes or nighty, toothbrush, and whatever else you need to spend the night.

 
Neat casual clothing and good grooming

Always take a robe or negligee with you, you will find it more comfortable as the evening progresses. Don’t even bother taking any your valuables like money or jewelry.

Your health and hygiene
You already may not know the people that you are going to encounter, the last thing you want to do is to show up with bad breath or smelling bad. Have a shower before you leave for your party, and it’s a good idea to freshen up when you get there.

 
Don’t Do Anything You are Not Comfortable Doing

You are going to this party to have a good time. At not time should you feel pressured into doing any thing you don’t want to, with any one you don’t want to. If there is something that you are not down with, just say NO!

There is a way to say NO

The most central and vital swinging etiquette is the right to say no. You don’t have to be mean. A simple and polite “No, thank you” is all that is needed. You by no means have to explain yourself to anyone. Don’t be afraid to say no, every one has the right, and if you do end up doing things you don’t want to it will cause more ill-felling and awkwardness.
